Two children injured in SWA IED blast

WANA: Two children sustained injuries when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in the remote Reshwara area in Sarwakai tehsil of South Waziristan Agency on Sunday.

Sources in the political administration said that the militants had planted an IED in the Reshwara area in Broand, which exploded in the day, leaving two children seriously injured. The ages of the children, whose identity could not be ascertained, ranged between 8 to 10 years.

The sources said that the injured children were rushed to the hospital in Maulay Khan Sarai. However, one of the children was later referred to the Civil Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan, because of his precarious condition.
