Establishment of Nadra centres in Upper Dir hailed

DIR: A population of more than 10 million people in Brawal and Kaklot tehsils in Upper Dir district have praised the establishment of two new centres of the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra).

The people of the remote and faraway areas of the Kohistan valley, including Kumrat, Thal, Kalkot, Barikot, Byar, Lamoti and others and tehsil Brawal including Shahi, Nusrat Dara, Bin Dara, Shaltalo, Shingara Dara and others were facing difficulties in getting computerised national identity cards as they used to come to Dir for the purpose.

The people of these areas said that they had been facing miseries in getting CNICs because it took four to five hours to reach Dir town, and most of the times they had to spend nights in Dir because offices would be close before they reach there.

Malak Tajbar Khan, tehsil nazim of Kalkot, said that establishment of the Nadra centre in Kalkot was a longstanding demand of the people of Kalkot tehsil. He said that they praised MNA Sahibzada Tariqullah and Nadra chairman for the achievement.

Anwar Ali, a resident of Byar, said that when women from his area were facing a host of problems in getting CNICs.
