The district administration has arrested 18 persons for refusing to vaccinate children during the anti-polio drive. The action was taken after the Health Department, Nowshera, dispatched a report to the district administration containing facts and figures about the refusal cases in the district. The administration also lodged cases against another 573 persons for refusing to administer anti-polio drops to their children. The report said a total of 1574 refusal cases have been registered in the district. The report said that 164 refusal cases surfaced in Pabbi, 60 in Azakhel, 70 in Cantonment and 492 in Nowshera Kalan. The police arrested 18 persons under the Section 188 of the PPC.
Under-construction college blown up in Orakzai

KALAYA: Militants blew up an under-construction college for men in the Orakzai Agency, official sources said on Friday. The sources said the militants had planted explosives at various places in the under-construction college for boys in Mannkhel Darra area which went off early in the day. As a result, six rooms and the boundary wall were damaged. Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
No clue to killers of security supervisor

LAHORE: The Sattukatla Police have failed to find any clue to the murderers of a security supervisor who was shot dead in his house in the Sattukatla Police limits on Thursday. Police have registered a case against unknown accused persons. Investigation Officer, SI Nawaz said they were working on the case and would soon find out the accused persons and the motive behind murder. Nassar Hayat, Security Supervisor of Punjab Government Employees Society, was shot dead by some unknown accused persons on Thursday night when he was asleep at his house in Phase-II of the society.
15 arrested in Peshawar operation

PESHAWAR: Police conducted search and strike operation on the Warsak Road and arrested 15 suspects on Friday. An official said the search and strike operation was carried out in the vicinity of the Army Public School and other areas on Warsak Road where 15 suspects were rounded up. Those arrested included unregistered Afghans.
