MANSEHRA: Two employees of a Chinese company working on a project being executed under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in Kaghan valley were killed when their jeep plunged into a deep ravine near the tourist resort of Shogran Saturday, local sources said.
The sources said the jeep carrying staff members of a Chinese company working on 800 megawatt Suki Kinari Hydropower Project was on its way to Shogran from Kawai. Driver Mohammad Shahid lost control over the steering while negotiating a sharp turn. The vehicle plunged into a ravine. Locals pulled out Shahid and Azhar Hussain in injured condition and rushed them to Civil Hospital in Balakot.
The doctors pronounced both of them dead. The bodies were later handed to respective families for burial.
