Seven SDPOs suspended on corruption charges

KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khowaja on Tuesday suspended seven Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) of District South on the recommendation of the Karachi Additional Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Mahar and ordered an inquiry on charges of corruption against them.

The provincial police chief has ordered Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Sultan Ali Khowaja to investigate the corruption charges against the seven SDPOs and submit him a report in 15 days.

The suspended officials include Darakhshan SDPO Nairul Haq, Kalakot SDPO Qamar-uz-Zaman, Risala SDPO Ghulam Nabi Wighio, Garden SDPO Akhtar Lateef Mughal, Baghdadi SDPO Rustam Nawaz, Kharadar SDPO Zahid Hussain and Keamari SDPO Muneer Ahmedn Israni.
