Speaking at public meeting organised by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) youth wing at the School Ground here on Sunday, the senator said secular forces wanted to change the Islamic identity of Pakistan.

He said that his party was committed to foiling the designs of these forces and continued efforts to protect the country's ideological identity. The lawmaker said that his party had always championed the rights of tribespeople, adding that some parties were attempting to deceive tribespeople in the name of reforms. However, he claimed, that these parties wanted to deprive tribespeople of a separate province. The JUI-F leader criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan People's Party, saying these parties were trying to make Pakistan a westernised society instead of a welfare state.
