CHICAGO: Researchers in the US are incorporating CT scanning and 3D scans together to unravel the mystery of a 2000-year-old mummy of a little girl.
Scientists from Northwestern University and Argonne National Laboratory near Chicago are making use of high-energy X-ray beams from a synchrotronton to look close inside the mummy.
The advanced technology is thought to provide in-depth analysis to what really is inside the mummy.
Leaving the wrappings around the girl’s body and her remains intact, scientists believe it may just bring new insight on ancient Egyptian culture.
