The 13th annual ice marathon at temperatures of minus 25 degrees Celsius was recently held in Antarctica.
In all, 55 runners from seven continents ran two huge laps around Union Glacier exploration camp in Antarctica.
Denmark's Frank Johansen was the men's winner in a time of 03:37:46. Women's winner was Kelly McClay of USA.
The runners made regular intervals for hoarding drinks and snacks to top up their energy.
Next year's event will be run at the same location in early December
