The buses will not be using conventional fuel instead will be using environment friendly fuel.

The bus is powered by hydrogen gas made from solar panels and a wind turbine.

The vehicle can accommodate up to 40 passengers and can travel an approximate range of 338 km on 38 kg of compressed hydrogen. The electric bus project costs approximate USD 4 million. First rides are to take place in Liberia in June.

Costa Rica aims to become a carbon neutral nation by 2021 and with the intervention of such buses it aims to make a milestone.
