First Metro Kids Carnival held

Metro International School had its first Metro Kids Carnival on Sunday, November 19, 2017. It was a fun-filled afternoon attended by over 300 parents and children.
As you walked in through the gates, the festive feeling was all around, with children playing and doing various activities. Metro has a lovely sensory play area that was very popular with the younger children, while the bouncy castle and wooden play area was a hit with the older children.
Children got to play carnival games and win prizes. There was an art competition judged by Sameera Raja, founder of Canvas Gallery. The chief guest was Younis Khan, former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, who gave out the prizes . There were open mic competitions and various activities on stage that students could join in and show their confidence and creativity.
They keynote address was by Abbas Hussain, director, Teachers Development Centre (TDC). TDC is Metro’s teacher training partner. There were lucky draws through the day and children got a chance to win exciting prizes. All in all, it was a fun-filled Sunday with all the activities planned so the children had a fun and memorable Sunday.
Metro is a comprehensive schooling system located in Clifton. It offers a good and affordable education to students. Metro follows the UK National Curriculum with teaching practices based on Finland’s education system. It is also Pakistan’s only school to have a healthcare programme for its students.
