NOWSHERA: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Saturday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) believed in serving the poor.
Addressing public gatherings in Ziarat Kaka Sahib and Wazirabad, he said that unfortunately political parties in their tenures had always neglected poor segment of society and did nothing for them.
Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Jamsheduddin Kakakhel, Member National Assembly Dr Imran Khattak, District Nazim Liaqat Khattak, Gulraiz Khan and others were present on the occasion.
Pervez Khattak said that leaders of the political parties in their terms had looted the national exchequer and did nothing for the welfare of people.
“Corrupt rulers have never considered looting the national exchequer a crime or sin,” he said, adding wherefrom Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Asfandyar Wali and Ameer Haider Hoti brought the money and made the properties.
He said that these leaders had no concern about the country and nation and made properties in the country and abroad. “How can these leaders compete with PTI chief Imran Khan? He brought money from abroad and spent on the welfare of the poor people in the country,” he said, adding that people had become politically mature and could not be deceived further as they had recognised the corrupt politicians. The chief minister said that Imran Khan wanted to put the country on the path to economic progress and prosperity. “Imran Khan knows how to make Pakistan one of the developed countries,” he said, adding that elimination of corruption was mandatory for a prosperous state. He said that equal opportunities of quality education should be provided to the children of rich and poor. The PTI-led government had declared ‘nazira’ compulsory in the schools, he added.
The CM said that PTI was a party of the poor and youth and would sweep the upcoming general elections.

Yar Muhammad Khan, Muhammad Gul, Umar Khan, Rashid Khan, Samandar Khan, Chinar Gul and others along with their relatives and friends quit their parties and announced joining PTI.
