thanked the federal government and the SSGC for providing a new lease of life to hundreds of thousands of villagers who would now be able to raise the standard of their living with the provision of natural gas. They said that the government did not believe in hollow rhetoric but practical steps to ensure the provision of all basic amenities to the people, including gas, water and electricity.
While reiterating that their commitment to Thatta and Sujawal was unfaltering, they said the people of the villages were very happy to see that their residences would now be supplied with gas.
In his address, Saeed Larik explained the salient features of the abovementioned distribution projects to the audience. He said that already the SSGC had started working on around 80 distribution schemes and had in fact completed a survey of more than 85 villages for laying the pipelines.
Larik said that the development of any area was interlinked with the provision of natural gas and the SSGC had always ensured with the right blend of planning and implementation that all earmarked areas were provided with this resource in the quickest possible time.
Pakistan at ADIPEC 2017
The Pakistan Pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2017), one of the world’s most influential events for the oil and gas industry, was the hub of activities of for four days. The aesthetically built Pakistan Pavilion , spread over 108 square metres, showcased a vibrant Pakistan and the downstream, midstream and upstream energy sector in striking colours and designs.
A double-unit structure, the pavilion was well-equipped with spacious, well-lit meeting spaces that allowed Pakistan’s oil and gas professionals to network with participating delegates from around the world.
The [avilion was installed under the banner of the Petroleum Institute of Pakistan and represented the veritable who’s who of the country’s energy sectors, including those belonging to the Sui Southern Gas Company, Pakistan State Oil, Pakistan Petroleum Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, Pak Arab Refinery Ltd., Mari Petroleum Company Limited, Inter State Gas Systems (Pvt.) Ltd., Government Holdings (Pvt.) Limited, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Oil and Gas Development Company and Pakistan LNG Terminals Limited.
