SUKKUR: Intellectuals, journalists and civil society showed their concern regarding minorities’ plight in Sindh, demanding for protection of their rights and of their worship places according to the Constitution of Pakistan. They demanded this in a three-day workshop, which was organised by Journalists for Democracy and Human Rights (JDHR) in collaboration with the International Alert. They said that forced marriages and forced conversions of minority groups should be stopped, while the media should play a vital role in this regard and ensure implementation of the laws framed to protect minorities.
