Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday held ‘novice politicians’ responsible for promoting a trend of mudslinging in the country’s politics and warned that such actions would ultimately cause trouble for all political forces.
“This practice must be stopped in the larger interest of the country and its people,” the CM said while talking to media after inaugurating the Bahria Model School Khalid SRE in the Younisabad area. He was accompanied by provincial ministers Nisar Khuhro, Jam Mehtab Dahar and Mohammad Ali Malkani.
The chief minister said the trend of dirty politics in vogue was not going to serve the wishes of any political leader. “It is, in fact, damaging the entire political system of the country. For God’s sake, stop this indecency and try to resolve the issues in the parliament,” he suggested.
Shah said politics was the name of service to the people but some people had made it a dirty business that would ultimately cause them heavy loss. “We should work for the development of the country and betterment of the people,” he said.
Earlier, the chief minister addressing the inauguration ceremony of the school said despite his serious and sincere efforts, he had not achieved desirable results in the education sector. “But we have improved the health services with the partnership of the private sector and we will now encourage the public-private partnership in the education sector as well,” he said.
In his speech, Karachi Commander Rear Admiral Athar Mukhtar briefed the chief minister about the school constructed by the Pakistan Naval Education Trust with a cost of Rs110 million. The Sindh government contributed Rs60 million in this regard, he added.
