CHITRAL: Member National Assembly (MNA) Shahzada Iftikharuddin on Saturday said that uncertain situation was being created in the country to stop the development process. “The Nawaz Sharif-led government has launched several mega projects across the country. Many mega projects, including Lowari Tunnel are in final stages even in Chitral. And the enemy of the country want to sabotage all these initiatives,” he told The News. The MNA said the China- Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would usher in a new era of prosperity and development in the country. “Many countries do not want CPEC projects to complete. I hope the saner elements in Pakistan would realise the situation,” he maintained. The MNA hoped the Supreme Court would decide the Panama Papers case according to the law. “The SC will see all legal aspects of the Joint Investigation Report (JIT) report. And there is no direct allegations against the premier,” he added. The MNA urged all political parties to join hands for the development of the country. “The leaders should shun the politics of leg-pulling. The country is passing through a very difficult situation and join strategy is needed to cope with it,” he said. The MNA said the prime minister would inaugurate the Lowari Tunnel during the visit to Shandur. “The premier will also announce more projects for the development of Chitral,” he added. The MNA said he had embarked on visit of the entire district during which he would inaugurate projects in different areas.
