A training session for the newly-recruited headmasters and headmistresses was held at Szabist on Saturday.

Education and Literacy Secretary Abdul Aziz Uqaili and Reform Support Unit Chief Programme Manager Faisal Ahmed Uqaili attended the session and highlighted the importance of the training.

They mentioned that the training was aimed at enhancing the professional standards of 1,016 school heads, and similar training sessions would be held at six regional centres across the province.

“The government has introduced several reform programmes. One such reform is the introduction of a School Management Cadre at division, district and school levels and the training of school heads is part of that initiative.”

They stated that all the newly-recruited school heads would attend mandatory induction training before taking charge in schools.

“The essential and rigorous training course is scheduled from July 14 to July 28. Both the trainings have carefully been planned to make use of the summer vacation so that teaching/learning time of students should not be disturbed.” The education department would also distribute course completion certificates among the participants of the training.
