PML(N) holds rally to express solidarity with Maryam Nawaz

The activists, leaders and workers of PML(N) as well as elected members of the RCB and CCB headed by their vice presidents took out a large rally from Dhamial, Chaklala Scheme no. 3 to Judicial Complex to express solidarity with Maryam Nawaz who was summoned by JIT for recording her statement related to enquiry on Panama Papers.

The largely attended rally was headed by Senator Ch. Tanvir Khan and participated by ex-MPA Yasir Raza, Malik Jehangir, ex-MPA Mehmood Shaukat Bhatti, Raja Saqib and others. Due to big rally, the entire roads remained choked with traffic and the traffic wardens were finding hard to control it.

On the way to Judicial Complex, the participants carrying banners and placards of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz raised vociferous slogans in favour of PML(N) government and its rulers.

The participants of the rally also raised slogans against PTI Chief Imran Khan and other opposition parties. Talking to journalists on the occasion, Ch. Tanvir Khan expressed full solidarity with Maryam Nawaz. He expressed his concern against JIT for summoning Maryam Nawaz who he said has nothing to do with Panama Leak case. He said that the name of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is also not in Panama Leak issue, however, he presented himself for accountability. He said that the opposition parties particularly PTI will achieve nothing from the issue. The hands of Nawaz Sharif are clear and this will be decided by the Supreme Court, he said.

Ch. Tanvir replying to a question said that the decision of the Supreme Court will be accepted by PML(N) with open heart. However, he predicted if the decision goes in favour of prime minister then the PTI chief and its leaders would raise objections and even adopt such a strategy to untoward situation. According to Raja Saqib Ashraf, the rally was stopped at different places by the police and law enforcing agencies to avert any ugly situation.
