The management of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has stopped salaries of 61 officers who have failed to submit their Higher Education Commission (HEC) verified degrees in Degree Verification Cell within provided time.
The officers are working in Capital Hospital, Audit Directorate, Revenue Directorate, Law Directorate, Environment Wing, Architecture Directorate, Estate Affectee Section, DMA, Pension Section, Accounts Section, Water Distribution, Sewerage Division, Bari Imam Complex, Parliament Lodges and those on deputation. A letter for stoppage of salaries with effect from July, 2017 of 61 officers has been sent to Director Accounts.
Member Administration, CDA Muhammad Yasir Peerzada has said that present administration is determined to ensure rule of law in the authority. Long due issues of degree verification will be taken to logical conclusion. Consistent efforts are underway to bring seemliness in administrative affairs of CDA.
Earlier in February, 2017 Member Administration, CDA, Muhammad Yasir Peerzada had directed to lodge FIRs against five officials of CDA for failing to prove authenticity of the educational degrees. Degree Verification Cell is actively engaged in pursuing the officials and officers who have failed to submit their degrees. Cases had been moved for lodging FIRs against few officers in recent past as well. Proceeding against 39 officials for submission of fake degrees is also underway in the Authority.
The letter for stoppage of salaries of 61 officers has been written with signature of Secretary CDA Board to Director Accounts. The copy of the letter has been sent to Director Information Technology (I.T) as well for required adjustments in computerized pay roll. The order for stoppage of salaries will be implemented from July, 2017.
