RCB launches sanitation drive

The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) is conducting sanitation drive ‘My waste My Responsibility’ for which its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Saima Shah has issued orders to deploy all resources to make this campaign a success in real sense. She ordered her team to work hard and exercise a strict vigilance on the field performance.

In this regard sources said that she has instructed the Additional CEO Rameez Shafqat, Waris Bhatti, chief sanitary inspector and Qaiser Mehmood, spokesman/assistant secretary to monitor the performance of all concerned and report to her for punishment to non willing workers and rewards to the dedicated workers.

Consequently, the sanitary measures in RCB limits have been found good for which the residents of the area have appreciated the efforts and performance of RCB’s team. One of the resident Abdul Manan of Peoples Colony and Mustajab from Allahabad while talking with ‘The News’ appreciated the efforts of RCB admin for improvement in the sanitary conditions in their area.

Ch. Salah ud Din Advocate, resident from Kamalabad said that residents are optimistic that this zeal shall continue and this practice shall persist further in the best public interest.

It has been noted that with this idea introduced by the first ever lady CEO of RCB has produced positive impact and helped in image building of RCB. It’s imperative to mention that despite financial crunch CEO RCB is striving hard to provide the basic civic services to its residents and tax payers.

RCB’s spokesman emphasised that the campaign is named as which means that not only the institutions are responsible to maintain the sanitation in the areas rather it’s the responsibility of all residents to take care of this issue.

RCB’s Sanitation Team headed by Mr. Waris, CSI supervised by Rana Rameez Shafqat Addl CEO is endeavouring to accomplish the task of improvement of sanitation standards in RCB area on the directives of CEO Dr Saima Shah in true letter and spirit, he said.
