New block at school named after martyred student

JHELUM: The foundation stone of the Mehar Ali Shaheed Block at the Government High School for Boys, Chakri Rajgan, was laid here on Sunday.
DCO Zulfiqar Ahmad and GOC Maj-Gen Sher Afghan laid the foundation stone of the new block, which was named after Mehar Ali, a martyred student of the APS, Peshawar. The block would be constructed at a cost of Rs 5.066 million while GOC Maj-Gen Sher Afghan donated Rs 100,000 for the construction of the new block. The GOC said that the whole nation was united to eliminate terrorism and establishing a new block was a best way to pay homage to Mehar Ali. Naib Subedar Kausar Aijaz, the father of Mehar Ali, and others were also present.
