Addressing students of Islamabad Model School for Girls at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the first lady said that Ramazan is a month of training--the purpose of which is that human beings should live their lives according to the will of Allah. She said that for this purpose, it is imperative that we should transform our lives according to the golden principles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

She pointed out that it is easier to attain goals of life if one subjects himself to three basic principles in the light of religious teachings. “The first principle is Namaz. Two things should be kept in mind while offering prayer. Firstly, those fundamentals should be strictly followed which are obligatory on us. The second and most important aspect relates to feelings of our heart as regular offering of Namaz makes one humble.

This is also a reason behind the refresher course of Ramazan,” she added. She said that the meaning of Islam is to accept the will of Allah Almighty, adding that the purpose of other fundamentals, including Fasting, Zakaat and Haj is also to promote such feelings. “Therefore, we should keep in view such objectives during fasting and offering of prayers in the Holy month of Ramazan,” she maintained. She said that foundation of our religion is based on high moral principles.

“We learn the first lesson of morality from our home like respect for the elders, love for the children, giving the rightful to the needy and helping the weak,” she said and added the real goal of prayer should be kept in mind in the month of Ramazan which is devotion to Allah Almighty. She also answered the questions of the students. After her address, she got mixed up with the students. The students also apprised her of their curricular activities.
