LAHORE: Punjab government spokesperson Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan rejected Imran Khan’s allegation of bribe offer to him, adding it is baseless, ridiculous and childish. He said we reserve the right of legal action against Imran. He advised him not to take support of allegations to revive his dead politics. He said the PTI chief is a big liar. He said telling lie is habit of Imran Khan, had he done the politics of service like us he would not have taken support of lies. Imran will take U- turn like always in case of proofs. He was completely perturbed over continuous failures in politics, he added.
Qatari prince letter presented on clients instructions: Akram

Senior Supreme Court advocate Akram Sheikh has said that he presented to the Supreme Court the letter of Qatari prince in Panama papers case on instructions of his clients. Reacting to criticism of the counsel for children of the prime minster on electronic media Wednesday, Akram Sheikh clarified that children of the prime minister had never denied the letter of Qatari prince whose second letter endorsed his own stance also. He said he had given pieces of advice to his clients honestly, many of which were accepted by them. “However, I was bound to comply with instructions of my clients,” he said and added that he was bound to keep quiet under the counsel-client privilege law.
Iranian convicted in UAE
for supporting his country’s nuclear programme

ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi Federal Appeal Court has sentenced an Iranian businessman to 10 years in prison following his conviction in attempting to re-export an electric generator to Iran to assist in the country's nuclear programme. The UAE authorities have confiscated a generator and seized other devices related to the case. The man was found guilty of violating international ban on nuclear weapons and will be deported after serving his sentence. In another case, the court issued a three-year prison sentence to two GCC nationals after they were found guilty of publishing information and spreading ideas online with the intent to incite sedition, hatred and sectarian racism. The court also fined AED 500,000 and asked them to delete the posts from social media and pay court expenses. They will be deported after serving their sentences.
