A six-member committee of National Assembly constituted by the Speaker after probing the incident that started with exchange of hot words inside the House and extended to use of more hot words and violence outside, had recommended suspension of membership for eight and two days respectively for Javed Latif and Murad Saeed.

However, a Jirga headed by Shah Jee Gul Afridi and comprising Sahibzada Tariqullah, Sahbizada Muhammad Yaqoob and others intervened which settled the dispute. Javed Latif of the PML-N while taking the floor regretted the words which he used for the family of Murad Saeed. “I not only withdraw my words but also feel ashamed of uttering the same about the family members of Murad Saeed”. He further said that he also apologised to the family members of Murad Seed.

Javed Latif, however, said that the contents of his speech on floor of the National Assembly has been misunderstood, saying that none of the parties could be traitor. Murad Saeed of PTI thanked the Jirga for resolving the issue. However, he did not use the word of apology in his speech.

The PTI member on floor of the House swore by Almighty Allah that he would continue to raise his voice against corruption and injustice in the country. He said that women of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had also given sacrifices for the sake of peace in the country.

Mian Abdul Mannan of PML-N also thanked the Jirga for settling the dispute saying that he also wanted to apologise for hurting feelings of Murad Saeed.

PPP member Ejaz Jhakrani said that family members of nobody should be dragged into politics. Shaikh Rashid Ahmad observed the issued could have been resolved inside the House had the chair acted properly at that time.

On that Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi said the chair was fulfilling its responsibilities in a better way. He said the untoward incident happened outside the assembly and the Speaker acted immediately constituting a six-member inquiry committee.

Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi appreciated that the both sides had demonstrated parliamentary spirit and accepted decision of Jirga saying he also remained in touch with working of Jirga.
