Violating Amplifier Act
14 prayer leaders arrested in Kasur

KASUR: The district police on Saturday arrested 14 prayer leaders under the Amplifier Act in separate incidents here.
Total 39 cases were registered against the people while cases under 9/ATA were registered against four prayer leaders, including Qari Sibghatullah Ahsan, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir, Maulana Muhammad Ishaq and Qari Manzoor Shakir, on the charge of collecting funds for a banned outfit. Meanwhile, DPO Rai Babar Saeed Said that stern action would be taken against those people who would be involved in violation of loudspeaker and delivering provocative speeches.
