Illegal parking irks district courts visitors

The illegal parking in front of district courts at Jhelum Road is not only creating problems for motorists but also for the lawyers and litigants visiting the courts. The parking is also not only dangerous for clients but also for lawyers.

On the other hand people visiting the courts have demanded of the higher authorities to order shifting of this parking from Jehlum Road.

District Bar Association (DBA), Rawalpindi General Secretary Irfan Ahmed Khan Niazi told ‘The News’ that they have ordered parking owners to remove their parking from roadside to clear traffic rush. He also said that they are continuously meeting with CPO and sessions judge to boost up security here in District Courts, Rawalpindi.

“We have to wait for a long time to cross the Kutcherry Road to enter the District Courts, Rawalpindi due to continuous flow of traffic from illegal parking,” Wajid Hussain Shah, a client said. He said that motorists should park their vehicles at Jinnah Park which has best parking space for all.

Shahzad Ahmed, another visitor of district courts said that due to this illegal parking they cannot reach the court in time. Not only clients but motorists and commuters are continuously facing problems due to traffic rush in front of District Courts, Rawalpindi, he denounced.

Sajida Begum, travelling by a pickup said that the on duty traffic wardens seem helpless due to traffic jam at Jhelum Road.
