A policeman was shot dead in Malir City on Wednesday morning.
Police said Head Constable Malik Hafeez, 38, was attacked by two men riding a motorcycle on Pir Mehfooz Road near Madrassah-e-Arabia in Mehran Town.
Malir City Sub Divisional Police Officer Fakhrul Islaam said Hafeez had suffered two bullet wounds to the shoulder and one to the neck. He was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he succumbed to his injuries.
The official said Hafeez was posted at the Police East Headquarters and lived at the Green Park City housing complex in Quaidabad.
Body found
A man was found shot dead and stuffed inside a gunny near Gulshan-e-Sikander in Keamari.
He was identified as Muhammad Noor, 65. The body was shifted to the Civil hospital for an autopsy.
A medico-legal officer at the hospital said there were torture marks on the body and the victim had suffered two bullet wounds.

Police said the murder could have been motivated by personal enmity.
Man killed in accident
A man died after falling off the roof of his house in Sultanabad. The Docks police said Abid, 45, was trying to trying to set up an illegal electricity connection when the accident occurred.
