Garbage disposal system in Nawabshah is in shambles

By our correspondent

NAWABSHAH: Garbage disposal system in the city appears to have broken down, and heaps of garbage is seen virtually in every nook and corner of the city. With such a miserable situation of sanitation, there is a very serious threat of an epidemic hitting the city. One wonders when the Municipal Committee would wake up to the challenge lying at its doorstep. The roads and streets are submerged under sewage, and even children heading for schools and people going to the mosques are not spared. It has been learnt that the number of sweepers was less than the required number of sanitation staff due to which the days of sweeping were reduced from six a week to just two days a week. The people of Nawabshah have demanded of Faryal Talpur, MNA, to take notice of this serious issue.
