Kabul-Delhi ties on the rise: Afghan envoy

KABUL: The Kabul-New Delhi relationship has been on the upswing, Afghanistan’s ambassador to India was quoted as saying on Friday.

Speaking at the 10th anniversary of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Scholarship to Afghan Youth in Delhi, Shaida Mohammad Abdali said: "Our relations in terms of student, teacher and cultural exchanges have increased over the years.”

His war-devastated country, having received support from India, was looking toward to enhanced cooperation between the two nations, the ambassador said, according IANS news agency.

India’s Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh said: "Rebuilding of relations with other countries is largely dependent on the rise and exchange of education. I appreciate the rise of Afghan female students."
