Islamabad: Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has left for a scheduled official visit to Peoples Republic of China, says a press release.
He has been invited by China’s Minister of Supervision and Inspection Huang Shuxian. During the official visit, Pakistan and China will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation on matters carried with efforts to weed out corruption.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is specially significant in the backdrop of increasing economic and trade cooperation between Pakistan and China with the resolve by both the governments to work in a fair, impartial and corruption free environment.
Qamar Zaman on the eve of his official visit to China said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with China, as China is Pakistan's time-tested friend. The long-standing ties between the two countries have been mutually supportive. A close identity of views and mutual interests remain the hallmark of bilateral ties, he said. He hoped that cooperation between the two friendly countries in anti-corruption work will be further enhanced.
