PIMS to remain on high alert

Islamabad: Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) would remain on high alert to ensure provision of routine medical services to incoming patients and managing any untoward situation.

According to hospital sources sufficient number of medical and paramedical staff would remain on duties in emergency operation theaters and other units of the hospital.They said that senior doctors and other supporting staff would remain on call, while hospitals ambulances would be ready to provide any assistance to citizens.They said an adequate quantity of medicines are available in the hospital, while other medical equipment are also present to manage any situation.

Sources said that the hospital has assigned all responsibilities to medical and paramedical staff, while implementation plan has been prepared to ensure provision of medical care to routine patients.

Meanwhile, other hospitals of the federal capital including Federal Government Polyclinic (FGPC) hospital has also made arrangements to provide best medical services. An official of FGPC said that all relevant medical and paramedical staff would remain on duties, while senior doctors and other supporting staff would remain on call.

LAHORE: Amid fear of PTI sit-in the Punjab government has closed all the bus terminals till November 2 in Lahore. The government has closed all the bus terminals in Lahore and there will be complete ban on arrival or departure of commuters. The authorities have announced Rs20,000 fine beside sealing of bus terminal if the transport companies will ply their buses on Islamabad route.
