True to the spirit of the United Nations, founded in 1945, Metropolitan Roots Youth Model United Nations (RYMUN) strives to foster a constructive forum for open dialogue on complex global issues, says a press release.

The 8th Metropolitan RYMUN endeavours to provide every delegate with a dynamic and enriching opportunity. Metropolitan RYMUN is pledged to expand United Nations education through the Model United Nations framework. Through our revamped procedure, unique and novel committees, emphasis on learning and Chair training, RYMUN strives to reaffirm our commitment to education and leadership. It is this passion and care that make Metropolitan RYMUN one of the premier youth oriented simulations in the region.

Metropolitan RYMUN was shaped to fill a need in the Model United Nations community; that is, to provide one of its kind and the biggest oratory arena to future diplomats for honing their negotiation and diplomacy skills.

During the conference, the delegates learnt the importance of balancing national interests with the needs of the international community, while also learning about the powers and limitations of international negotiation.

Keeping its promise, Metropolitan RYMUN 2016 featured innovative committee simulations, cutting-edge technology, and, of course, enthralling entertainment for delegates outside of committee. Metropolitan RYMUN is all about diplomacy, diversity and quality, delegates had the opportunity to meet and interact with more than 1000 high school and university students representing more than 400 different higher educational institutions.

So the show came to an end, what a magical and astonishing show it was that lasted four days. An event full of ethnic demonstration from the different parts of the world, colors, eagerness, enthusiasm and energy.

Closing ceremony catered 20 Ambassadors including Walid Abu Ali, Adel Elarbi, Claudio Lins with his wife, Ambassador of Palestine, Tunisia , Brazil to Pakistan, Wife of Education & Training Minister- Baleeg-ur-Rehman & Director UN-Desk-Foreign Ministry-Mr Ahmed Farooq, all the dignitaries were over whelmed to see the excitement and high spirits in students who were a part of this entire enchanted occurrence.
