Members of the committee appreciated the recent reforms in Pakistan Nursing Council, which now has a PhD nurse as its president. Speaking in the meeting, Minister of State for Health Saira Afzal said that the Registration Cards Issuing System has been improved, and while normal cases are being finalised within 2 weeks instead of 3 months, urgent cards are being handed over on same day instead of 2 weeks. “The backlog of old registrations has been completely eliminated. Facilities like free shuttle service from PNC to main road, air-conditioned waiting room, mineral water and free photostat facilities have been arranged for the comfort of PNC visitors,” she added.
