Five lives lost in mishaps

Seven people died and four others were injured in different mishaps during the last 48 hours.

Saleem, 42, his 10-year-old daughter, Maryam, and a 35-year-old unidentified man were injured after their motorcycle was hit by a truck near the Korangi Bridge situated in the Shah Faisal Colony police limits.

The injured were rushed to the JPMC in critical conditions; however, Saleem breathed his last on the way to the hospital.

Zafar Hussain, 30, his brother Akram, 28, and his friend, 30-year-old Sadam Hussain, were injured when their motorbike was struck by a Star Line Coach near the Gulshan-e-Mazdoor situated in the Baldia Town. The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital Karachi in critical conditions; however, Zafar lost his life before reaching the hospital. Another motorcyclist, 35-year-old Abdul Wahab, lost his life as he was hit by a vehicle at the Super Highway in the Gulshan-e-Maymar police jurisdiction. Kamran, 31, an employee of the Sindh Government Hospital in Khokrapar, also died after his motorbike was hit by a dumper.
