Govt issues notification of increase in upper age limit of CSS candidates

ISLAMABAD: The government on Friday issued notification of the upper age limit for Central Superior Services (CSS) competitive examination.

In pursuance of cabinet’s decision, notification regarding upper age limit 28 to 30 for CSS competitive examination has been issued by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).Senate of Pakistan had recommended increase in the upper age limit of CSS after that the federal cabinet on July 16 approved increase in upper age limit from 28 to 30 years for the candidates of CSS but the notification could not be issued in this regard after passing 30 days.

According to new notification the age limits for CSS Competitive Examination 2017 onwards would be as under i. for fresh candidates 21 to 30 years ii. For the categories specified in Rule 3(ii) of CSS Competitive Examination Rules 2017 21 to 32 years 2. Cutoff date for determining the eligibility of the candidates in terms of age domicile qualifications etc will be 31st December 2016.

Both male and female including disabled persons having at least 2nd Division Bachelor’s degree and within above said age limits may apply online to FPSC for CSS Competitive Examination 2017 during the period 1st October 2016 to 31st October 2016.
