Victoria Beckham reveals how her business success boosted her confidence

Victoria Beckham, though, is now in a position where she can comfortably say she is successful in business.

But that was not the story when she started her fashion brand in 2008.

She told Grazia magazine, "I've been pretty transparent about how rocky the journey has been."

Despite starting her business, the Spice Girl alum recalled it made substantial losses, leaving her in tears of embarrassment.

Her husband, David Beckham, supported her both emotionally and financially.

In her documentary, Victoria looked back at the period, saying, "I used to cry before I went to work every day because I felt like a firefighter."

"We were tens of millions in the red. Yes, I'm going home to my husband but I'm going home to my business partner as well and so I would talk to him about it, I had to."

Years later, the company eventually turned into a profit. According to the Daily Mail, her business made an operating profit of £7.3 million.

Revenues also rose to £129.8 million from £112.7 million the previous year, a 15% increase.

This success, in turn, boosted her confidence, which had been under strain while she struggled with their business.

"To be able to sit here now and say that both the fashion and beauty arms of my business, independent of each other, are profitable and thriving, to be opening new stores, to sit here as the founder and creative director of two very successful brands, that gives me huge confidence as well," she told the magazine.

Beckham's success also owes much to her product, Beauty, which played a key role.
