Sylvester Stallone reveals it took ‘60 years’ to learn love

Sylvester Stallone opened up about “a really wonderful habit.”

Sylvester and Jennifer were married in May 1997, and it has been 29 years since their marriage. Moreover the couple share three daughters, Sophia Rose Stallone, Sistine Rose Stallone and Scarlet Rose Stallone.

Recently on CBS Sunday Morning at 92NY with Tracy Smith, while speaking about his marriage the Hollywood star revealed something he wishes he had done differently.

“I wish I’d married my wife about eight years earlier,” the Rocky star continued, “I was like such an idiot, procrastinating. Because you know, I’m still actually learning about relationships that bad.”

“Uh, so I regret that. And I’m sorry, baby,” Sylvester said, addressing his wife candidly.

When he was questioned, whether the absence of love from his parents as a kid shaped him. The actor said, “There is that. There is that.”

He went on to say, “So a lot of people that have these issues, it’s not your fault. You know, it’s just the way you evolve it.”

He noted, “And I have said it before, I just look at a child like an infant, like a pile of wet clay. And if you drop it two times, you put permanent dents. They don’t come out.”

“So you have to go through life with these problems and they don’t go away,” Sylvester further added.

The Oscar nominated actor also revealed that he learned to understand love through his wife, saying, “It’s a habit, you know, learning to love a really wonderful habit.”

“And with my wife, Jennifer, it’s finally come to fruition. It took about 60 years, but we got there,” Sylvester acknowledged.
