Prince Harry calls Meghan Markle after jumping from the sky

Prince Harry took part in a daring skydive outside Toronto, making good on a promise to a 102-year-old World War II veteran while raising awareness and support for military charities.

According to Sunnybrook Foundation charity, The Duke of Sussex met 102-year-old World War II Veteran Ed Marshall last year.

The charity said, "They quickly bonded over their shared experience of military service and the way they have continued to serve their communities. “

“Ed amazed Prince Harry when he proudly recounted the fundraising skydive he completed to mark his 100th birthday. The idea stuck, and together, they devised a plan for another jump.”

Ed trained as a paratrooper during the Second World War, while the Duke served for 10 years in the British Army, completing two tours of duty in Afghanistan as a Forward Air Controller and Apache helicopter pilot.

After a medical evaluation determined that the 102-year-old veteran couldn’t safely make the jump, Marshall’s grandson, Bailey, stepped in to skydive alongside Harry in his place. Marshall still joined them for the flight, cheering them on from the plane.

Harry’s first call after the jump was to his wife, Meghan Markle.
