New 'shocking' details emerge over Maria Fowler, Kelvin Batey's split

Maria Fowler has called it quits with her husband Kelvin Batey after seven years of marriage.

On Thursday, an insider spilled to The Sun that the TOWIE star, 50, and the motocross racer, 45, parted ways earlier this year.

"Maria and Kelvin decided to call it quits at the start of the summer. It was a really tough decision but Maria ultimately felt like she wanted more," a close source to Maria told the outlet.

"She has been really successful in business recently and it made her realise she could cope without him," the confidant continued. "It hasn't been the easiest of transitions but they are getting there. Maria has been incredibly emotional, but has thrown herself into work."

A tipster added, "It's when she's not working that she is struggling and questioning how it went so wrong."

For those unaware, Maria exchanged vows with Kelvin in an intimate ceremony at Nunsmere Hall Hotel in Cheshire in 2019.

“So this happened yesterday… we got married!" she said at that time. “The happiest day of our lives. What an absolutely incredible day surrounded by Incredible people.

“We had an intimate ceremony which was full of tears, laughs and sentiment," added Maria.

The exes share two daughters, Evie and Nellie.
