Diana’s former butler finally breaks his silence about Earl Spencer: ‘Do I believe him?’
The brother of Princess Diana has finally come forward to reveal whether he believes the Earl
The Spencer’s relationship with th British royal family has been one for the history books and now, a former butler who served both King Charles and Princess Diana, during their marriage, has come forward to reveal whether he believes the Earl at all.
The entire conversation happened on the Piers Morgan Uncensored YouTube Channel.
The admissions came right after the host gave an update about his case against Earl Spencer, for some defamatory claims made regarding the chain of management when The Sunday Mirror leaked hidden-camera pictures of the princess, on November 7, 1993. For those unversed with the contents, it showed Diana wearing a leotard and cycling shorts while working out and were taken secretly by the owner of a gym in LA.
Now, in regards to the former employee, he is none other than Paul Burell, ex-butler to the Princess, right up till her passing.
He didn’t waste any time during his on-air time when he said, “I think this book is more about Earl Spencer than it is about his sister Diana. I read this rather spiteful, revengeful, aristocratic point of view that he's penned and quite frankly I didn't recognize some of it. He talks about the king being giddy with excitement when Diana died. Well, Piers, I was in Paris. I saw the King on the day he came to Paris.”
He even described the entire moment and siad, “[King Charles] walked down the corridor towards me. He was a broken man. He was devastated and he went into the room with Diana's sisters for 10 minutes and came out.”
“Clearly, he'd been crying,” he also recounted. Because according to Mr Burell “[King Charles’] eyes were bloodshot. Honestly, I've never seen him like that ever.”
He also said, “he was pale and he was scared and really I thought to myself, ‘you're here for the boys because you're you are the boy's father and this is their mother’. And he was paying respect to Princess Diana.”
His concluding words were as follows; “so I don't recognize what Earl Spencer says about Prince Charles. It isn't his language.”
