Grok in your Tesla can now perform significant tasks for you
In a major update, Tesla is adding the Grok AI chatbot to its vehicles- a significant upgrade for drivers using voice commands for hands-free tasks and assistance while on the road.
Grok bot integration in Tesla vehicles allows SuperGrok Heavy subscribers to order coffee, manage calendars, place DoorDash orders or prepare work documents using natural voice commands. It connects to services like email, OpenTable and Uber Eats via the Grok app turning commute time into proactive productivity particularly alongside full self-driving features.
Meanwhile, owners in Model Ys and Cybertrucks shared clips of hands-free shopping and task handling calling it a revolutionary feature that delivers the productivity of an automated workforce.
On social platform X, users have been responding with one writing, “Love this but effectively it’s the same as grok bot phone app getting voice mode and using it in the car. That’s said voice mode is so underrated. Ppl don’t use it enough. Much faster than typing.”
Second added, “Hi Grok. Please confirm my tickets & reservations to attend the upcoming Tesla Takeover, including programming my Y’s FSD to arrive promptly at the venue, from my CA home. Be sure to coordinate to join whatever Tesla caravans that may be encountered en route & request on behalf of the respective organizers that I be allowed to join, per their preferences.”
The Grok Bot in Tesla vehicles is currently only available to Super Grok Heavy users but will later expand to become available for all users.
