Patrick Clancy opens up about forgiveness and grief after Lindsay Clancy mistrial

Patrick Clancy has opened up about losing his three children, forgiving his ex-wife Lindsay Clancy and rebuilding his life following her recent mistrial.
In an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes, Clancy, 36, said there was a period when he did not expect to live to his 35th birthday.
His children, five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson and eight-month-old Callan, died in January 2023 and their mother, Lindsay Clancy was charged in their deaths.
Her lawyers argued she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and could not be held criminally responsible, ending her trial with a hung jury earlier this month.
Patrick recalled holding Callan after the baby was taken to Boston Children’s Hospital.
"I got to hold him. I got to lay down next to him. And he died in my arms," he told 60 Minutes.
Patrick said he publicly forgave Lindsay because he believes mental illness caused her actions.
He also addressed online accusations and speculation surrounding him following his testimony, calling them painful.
Patrick moved to New York City after the deaths and has since remarried.
He married fertility doctor Rachel Danis in April after meeting her at a running club in 2024.
The couple are now planning to start a family, and Patrick said he hopes to tell his future child about Cora, Dawson and Callan.
