Tom Holland starrer 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' was released in cinemas on July 31
Andrew Garfield hasn't seen Tom Holland's new Spider-Man film yet, but he is "excited" to watch the latest web-slinger film.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the 43-year-old actor said he had heard that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is "phenomenal".
When asked if hewas excited to watch the new Spider-Man film, Andrew replied, "I haven’t seen it yet. I’ve been a bit off the grid, but thank God it’s still in theatres, so I’m going to try and see it."
He further said, "I haven’t seen The Odyssey yet either. I’m the only person alive who hasn’t seen these movies, but I hear that they’re both phenomenal."
"So I’m very, very excited to go and support my friends. The movies are back, baby," added Andrew, who played the titular character in the Spider-Man movies between 2012 and 2014.
Recently, in an interview with Variety, the Hollywood star revealed that he isn’t ready to reach out to Tom about the massive success of the latest Spider-Man film.
“I don’t want to be disingenuous,” said Andrew. “A movie making money and people going to see it is an incredible thing, but I will reach out to him once I’ve seen [“Spider-Man”], which I’m very excited to see."
"And his other film, ‘The Odyssey,’ I haven’t managed to see either yet. I will send him a message when I see the work he has done," he added.
