Billy Ray Cyrus rings in 65th birthday with industry tributes

For Billy Ray Cyrus, turning 65 came with plenty of fanfare and birthday messages from loved ones and famous friends.

The country singer took to Instagram on the occasion with a video of several if not all the tributes he received on his milestone birthday.

"What a surprise !!! Thank you to my family, friends and Elizabeth!!!" his caption read.

The video kicked off with his daughter Noah calling him her hero. Next up was his other daughter, Miley Cyrus, poking fun at his signature hair before wishing him a happy birthday. His son Braison also chimed in with a short, loving message in the next clip.

Billy Ray's girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley, and her son Damian added their birthday wishes as well.

Several major names in country music also joined the celebration, including Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Gretchen Wilson, and Dennis Quaid, who also congratulated Billy Ray on his recent new album.

Lil Nas X, who famously collaborated with Billy Ray on Old Town Road, shared a particularly heartfelt message expressing gratitude for their connection over the years.

DJ Diplo brought his own country-inspired energy to his tribute, while The Bellamy Brothers and longtime collaborator Jeffrey Steele also sent their congratulations. Singer Kathy Mattea, who began her career alongside Billy Ray decades ago, also reflected fondly on their long friendship.

Several other family members then joined in, including his nephew Luke Cyrus, who thanked him for his lasting personal impact.

The celebration came on the same day the music world mourned the loss of Dolly Parton, who passed away at age 80.

Parton shared a long friendship with Billy Ray and served as Miley's godmother.
