When Meghan Markle and her family reportedly reunited with King Charles at Highgrove House, she allegedly felt "vindicated."

Because, as a report in Heat Magazine claimed, the private meeting took place without the involvement of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Both reportedly have a rift with the Suits star, and the reunion without the future monarch and his wife's permission, insiders say, boosted Markle's confidence.

"It’s becoming increasingly clear they don’t need William and Kate’s approval, which has really boosted Meghan’s confidence," the insider added.

The source painted Charles as sympathetic to healing the rift, which had reportedly been simmering for years within his family.

"The fact that Charles is working so hard to put this rift in the past and lay the groundwork for their future – not just for Harry and Meghan, but for their children – is hugely satisfying," the source said.

According to the insider, Markle and Harry blamed William and Kate for making their lives difficult and for preventing a reconciliation.

"Both Meghan and Harry believe that both William and Kate went out of their way to make life as difficult as possible for them and tried to block a reconciliation at every turn."

"Ultimately, they failed, so Meghan and Harry feel vindicated," the source alleged.

Despite the differences, the source claimed the Sussexes want to fix the strained relationship with William and Kate.
