Drake dared to enter new rap war after Kendrick Lamar beef

Drake is having a total blast this year. With three albums - released together - becoming streaming champions, he has squarely been at the top of his game.

But now Joe Budden - a podcaster and the one who shares a complicated history with the Toronto rapper, as some would describe as ‘frenemies’ - wants something from the Grammy winner.

His goal is to draw him into another rap beef with legendary rap star Jay-Z, after reportedly smarting from Kendrick Lamar.

As rumour mill indicate the rapper is working on new music, Budden on his namesake podcast said, “If the word is true, and hip-hop n***** gonna assume it’s true, that Jay-Z could be putting an album out, what that means in rapper brain is, he is available to rap.”

“That means that his brain is firing, in a way, right this second that I’m prepared for anything that n***as might want to do.”

Then, Budden goaded Drake to make the first move.

“If you want to get to talking tough about the pen isn’t dry, take the bait,” he shared.

“Jump out there. Set it on that old n****. Fire on that old n****, yo. Fire on that senior citizen. Kendrick and Drake was years ago now. Let’s turn it up.”

With his arguments, it seems, Budden is urging Drake to gain glory by winning against Jay-Z in a beef.

However, whether the One Dance hitmaker would listen to him seems unclear.
