Courtney Love breaks silence on her near-death experience ahead of solo album

Courtney Love recently shared insight into her near-death experience.

Taking to her Instagram to update her fans about the progress of her forthcoming album, the 62-year-old American singer, guitarist, songwriter, and actress lifted the lid on her health scare for the first time in public.

In the video, Love can be heard saying, “I went to England in 2019 and when I went there, you know, my body just exploded. It just exploded.”

“And I was in hospitals a lot. I almost died, I lost all my hair. I was about 100 pounds,” she shared. “And they told me I was gonna die, and I didn’t believe them.”

The Playing Your Song crooner refrained from sharing details of the disease that made her go through a near-death experience.

However, Love explained that she would “pattern interrupt the adults” in her childhood and she thinks “this record was about this.”

Calling to mind, she elaborated, “They’d say red was blue, and then I’d see blue, but blue was blue, so now that I gaslight myself that maybe they were right, and red was blue, and then I would see purple, and my head would explode. Like f******* cope with that s*******, right?”

“I never really lost my ability to see that red was red. Despite them telling me that red was blue. And so when they said you’re going to die, I just didn’t believe them. And somehow, I got better. I’m healthy, which is amazing. I just wasn’t public about being sick. I don’t wanna be public. I’m fine now,” the Awful hitmaker stated.

It is pertinent to mention that Courtney Love’s forthcoming solo album is officially completed; however, the title and release date have yet to be announced. It will come out after her last project which was her former rock band Hole’s 2010 studio albumNobody’s Daughter.
