Meghan Markle gets pitted against Catherine, Camilla, Lady Diana

Meghan Markle’s marriage to Prince Harry blew up the internet back in 2018 but ever since then the public has seen a complete breakdown in the relationships around them. Even Camilla, the ‘other woman’ to Harry’s mother has been compared to Meghan.

Simon Vigar, one of Britain's longest-serving royal correspondents spoke about all this, that too with Fox News Digital.

In his view, Meghan never understood a key part of royal life that her predecessors did, including her own mother in law.

The commentator explained this big hole in Meghan’s understanding by pointing out, “the press team at Kensington Palace is pretty small, let's say, compared to a movie premiere in Hollywood or a movie premiere in London. It's a tiny press team, and they're involved in this institution, this royal family, which is on the front pages almost every single day. They have to roll with it. They have to roll with events, and they have to try and shape them in the best way they can.”

As he explains it, “Harry understood it,” but Meghan, “by her own admission,” he clarified didn't. Because “it was just a different level of expectation.”

Compared to her, “Catherine, Camilla, Lady Diana Spencer, who was an aristocrat and the most aristocratic of all four of them, they just understood the British family even more.”

“I think the problem was it was a culture clash,” he said in his concluding words. “It's an American lady marrying into the most upper-class British family possible.”
