Rod Stewart cancels concerts due to 'health' reasons

Rod Stewart’s recent show in Cincinnati was called off due to a “minor medical procedure” he needed.

“Due to an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention, Rod Stewart’s performance tonight in Cincinnati at Riverbend Music Center has been POSTPONED,” the Riverbend Music Center penned in a statement shared on its website.

For those unversed, the 81-year-old musician was due to perform at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on Sunday, August 9.

According to the statement, the concert is currently being rescheduled, with additional information to share on August 11.

“All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date,” the statement read. “Rod is expected to make a quick recovery and looks forward to returning to Cincinnati.”

Rod later cancelled his concert in Cleveland.

“CANCELLED. Following a period of monitoring, doctors have advised Rod Stewart to rest for at least 48 hours. As a result, his performance tomorrow night, August 11, 2026 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland has been cancelled,” Rocket Arena posted to its Instagram handle on Monday.

“Rod is disappointed to miss the show and appreciates everyone’s understanding. He looks forward to returning to the stage soon. Refunds are available at point of purchase," the statement continued.
