Ruby Rose reveals why her life 'got bad' after 'Batwoman' accident

Ruby Rose is sharing her honest take on what actually happened after she suffered an accident on the set of Batwoman in 2019.

The Orange Is the New Black star almost got paralysed after her stunt went wrong and she braced severe injury to her spinal cord.

Though after her surgery she healed, Ruby admitted the injury led to irreversible loss in her life.

During a recent appearance on Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, the actress shared, "I’ve always done all of my own stunts, so I could turn up as Ruby: the action star.

"But I had an accident in 2019 on the set of Batwoman, and everything just sort of got bad from there."

She explained, “There was no bouncing back. There was no part of me left. It was just the shell. Four years of my life - gone."

During the show while performing a stunt, Ruby jumped from a helicopter on her feet first instead of backward. When Candace Cameron asked about it, Ruby replied, “I broke my neck, like, twice already. I’ve got two replacement discs."

She added, "Maybe it’s not a great idea to ask someone why they’re doing things differently than anyone else."
