Islamabad: The National Book Foundation is playing pivotal role in character building of youngsters through its fruitful publications. The NBF is doing its best for promotion of book reading culture, dissemination of knowledge and literacy in the country, said Mr. Mohsin S Haqqani, Federal Secretary National History & Literary Heritage Division, says a press release.
He said this during his visit to National Book Foundation. Mr. Haqqani appreciated the academic activities of NBF Children Summer Book Club where kids of 4-12 years age participate in book reading and storytelling sessions and do wonderful artwork.
The federal secretary while talking to Prof. Dr. Inam Ul Haq Javeid, MD NBF, said that NBF is spreading its message of book reading to the people of Pakistan. He further said that NBF’s innovative schemes are drawing attention of young generation to enhance reading habits because of its quality books on discounted price.
Earlier on arrival of Mr. Mohsin S Haqqani, Prof Dr. Inam Ul Haq Javeid, MD National Book Foundation, welcomed him. Mohsin S Haqqani appreciated NBF’s working and showed satisfaction on the developing process regarding ‘Shehr-e-Kitab’. He also visited the National Book Museum, Book Park, My Book Shelf, Nizami Ganjvi Corner, Hafiz Sherazi Corner, Single Stone Book, Book Wall Clock, Wall of Honour, Main Book Shop, Book shelves of general books and textbooks published by NBF, Readers Book Club and other sections of NBF and applauded the efforts being done by NBF to promote book culture.
